About Discipleship DNA

Discipleship DNA equips churches to make discipleship part of a church’s identity, not just a function. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen the Body of Christ with resources designed to help individuals follow Christ as disciples and help others do the same.

About Brian La Croix

Brian grew up primarily on the Indian Reservations in western South Dakota. While attending South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!!), he was introduced to Christ through the ministry of the Navigators. After receiving his B.A. in Sociology, he put his degree to work slinging pizzas at Pizza Hut before marrying Debra and moving to Colorado to attend The Navigators’ Leadership Development Institute with his new bride.

Eventually moving back to South Dakota, Brian worked at various jobs before accepting a call to ministry. He became a bi-vocational pastor for a Wesleyan church in Aberdeen, SD, while pursuing his ordination, and stayed at the church for 12 years.

Before, during, and after pastoral ministry, Brian has worked in the retail industry, enjoying the opportunities to serve customers and those he works with. He is also on the staff of Arise Church (Nazarene) as an associate pastor, focusing mainly on discipleship ministry as well as preaching duties as needed.

He and Debra have been married 35 years, have 12 children, and 3 grandkids. They live in Aberdeen, SD, which is famous for its pheasant hunting and rich baseball history.
